Our Teachers
His Holiness Drubwang Pema Norbu Rinpoche was one of the most renowned Dzogchen masters of the 20th century. Born in 1932 in Tibet, His Holiness was the 11th throneholder of the Palyul Lineage of the Nyingma School of Tibetan Buddhism and worked tirelessly throughout his life to spread the teachings of the Buddha throughout the world. He established numerous Dharma centers throughout the world and in the United States, including the Palyul Retreat Center in Upstate New York and this Nyingma Palyul Dharma Center in New York City. Through His Holiness’ blessings, NPDC is able to host teachings and empowerments from Lamas of the Palyul Lineage throughout the year.
