Dear Sangha,

As the Tibetan Lunar New Year of the Female Water Rabbit approaches, we want to wish everyone Losar Tashi Delek! May you find peace, joy, and accomplish all of your wishes, both worldly and spiritual, in the coming year. NPDC has organized pujas at Guru Lhakhang to help clear obstacles, increase positive circumstances, and receive the blessing of the Three Jewels so that we may start the new year afresh and ensure a smooth year to come.

In order to purify all accumulated negativities of the past year and pacify obstacles of the coming year, for two days we will perform the extensive Gutor ritual based on the Vajrakilaya sadhana from the revelations of Ratna Lingpa, which will conclude with the burning of the zorchen torma. Then on the third day, we will perform a Buddha Amitayu puja to bring us long life and good health. Finally on the morning of Losar Day, we will recite the Prayer to the Sixteen Elders, and the temple will be open all day for everyone who wishes to visit.

Although we do not have an English translation of the Vajrakilaya and Amitayu puja texts, please join us so we can as a group receive the blessings of the Three Jewels. All are welcome to participate in all of these events, either in person at Guru Lhakhang or remotely via Zoom or Facebook (information below)
