Upcoming Practices & Chotrul Düchen

We are happy to announce the upcoming practices at NPDC during the auspicious first 15 days of the Tibetan lunar new year, known as the Fifteen Days of Miracles. These days commemorate the Buddha’s display of miracles to increase faith and merit in his disciples and spiritual challengers. Therefor, any merit accumulated during this time is said to multiply many millions of times, especially on the fifteenth day, Chotrul Düchen.

This coming Wednesday, March 4, we will celebrate the first Guru Rinpoche Day of the new year from 7 – 9 p.m. by practicing the sadhana of Ridgzin Dupa and offering tsok.

Then on Chotrul Düchen, Monday, March 9, we will gather and do the Practice of Buddha Shakyamuni and offer a Shower of Blessings tsok from 7 – 9 p.m.

In addition, on Sunday, March 8, we will do the practice of Lhamo Lomagyonma (Parnashavari) from 2 – 3 p.m. Lhamo Lomagyonma embodies the compassion of all the Buddhas and is known especially for pacifying contagious diseases. This practice will follow our regularly scheduled Sunday session that same morning from 10 a.m. – Noon (Riwo Sangchö, Vajrakilaya, Tara).

And as always, everyone is very welcome to join our practices of Guru Yoga and Chöd (Khandro Gayjang) every Saturday evening from 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m., and Riwo Sangchö, Vajrakilaya, and Tara practice every Sunday morning from 10 a.m. – Noon.
