Dear Dharma Friends,

We are happy to announce the Dharma programs that will take place at NPDC Guru Lhakhang during this most sacred month of Saga Dawa (May 31 – June 29). Virtue or non virtue accumulated during this month is multiplied hundreds of thousands of times. To encourage you to engage in Dharma practice during this holy month, we request you to join the following programs and teachings provided by our center.

Guru Rinpoche Mantra Accumulation

Guru Rinpoche himself said that during this degenerating time, there is no other Buddha who can more swiftly come to bless devotees and protect them from the unfavorable circumstances of our time. Starting on the first day of Saga Dawa, we will begin the worldwide accumulation of 100 million Guru Rinpoche mantras. Our resident Lama Lopen Rapjee will lead us in reciting Guru Rinpoche’s mantra in addition to our daily morning and evening practices, and we will gather at Guru Lhakhang on specials days and on Sundays to accumulate this mantra (all times EDT):

June 5: 3 – 5 p.m.
June 7: 3 – 5 p.m.
June 12: 3 – 5 p.m.
June 14: 3 – 5 p.m.
June 19: 3 – 5 p.m.
June 26: 3 – 5 p.m.
June 29: 7 – 9 p.m.

Teaching on Uttaratantra
Every Tuesday and Friday of the month from 7 to 9 p.m. EDT, Khenpo Tenzin Norgay will teach the Uttaratantra from the temple, which will also be broadcasted on Zoom — Please click here for more information and to register

Saga Dawa Duchen
Saga Dawa Duchen falls on June 14, and we will celebrate by practicing Treasury of Blessings followed by a Shower of Blessings Tsok offering from 7 – 9 p.m. EDT (also live on Zoom and Facebook – see info below)

Concluding Tsok and Dedication Prayers
On June 29th, the last day of Saga Dawa, we will conclude our program by conducting a Rigzin Dupa Tsok offering and dedication prayers from 7 – 9 p.m. EDT (also live on Zoom and Facebook – see info below)
