Amitayu Puja – Losar

As the Tibetan Lunar New Year of the Female Water Rabbit approaches, we want to wish everyone Losar Tashi Delek! This is just a friendly reminder about the pujas taking place at NPDC Guru Lhakhang this coming weekend to help clear obstacles, increase positive circumstances, and receive the blessing of the Three Jewels so that we may start the new year afresh and ensure a smooth year to come.
On Monday 2/20, we will perform a Buddha Amitayu puja to bring us long life and good health. Part of this puja involves offering a special torma representing ourselves, which is done to repay any karmic debts we may have with other beings, especially those debts which could shorten our life. You may also bring hair, nail clippings, and/or old clothing to be offered with this torma.
Although we do not have an English translation of the Amitayu puja text, please join us so we can as a group receive the blessings of the Three Jewels. All are welcome to participate in this event, either in person at Guru Lhakhang or remotely via Zoom or Facebook (information below)
