Lhabab Duchen Practice

Please join us for practice this Friday, which is the auspicious day of Lhabab Duchen, one of the most sacred days of the Buddhist year which commemorates Buddha Shakyamuni’s descent from the god realm after traveling there to liberate his mother from cyclic existence and benefit the gods. It is considered so auspicious and beneficial to practice on this day that any merit accumulated is said to multiply 10 million times.

Lamas will lead us in the following practices and prayers:

Recalling the Noble Three Jewels
Treasury of Blessings (the sadhana of Buddha Shakyamuni)
Homages and Offerings to the Arhat Elders
King of Aspiration Prayers
Maitreya’s Aspiration Prayer
Prayer to Spread the Nyingma Tradition
